A Cold One - Christmas From Baghdad
Property of the WWE
It was wonderful to see SCSA on Smack Down as he was a part of the show that aired on Dec. 25, 2003.  It wasn't a surprise to me.  The group that I belong to reported that he will be in Baghdad for Christmas.  However, it was unkown if they would show a RAW superstar on Smack Down.  Since Smack Down is recorded live on Tuesdays then air on Thursday, the spoiler stated that he was there.  Regardless, it was a wonderful show.

That night, I remembered when I was in Kuwait for Christmas in 1998.  I wasn't there for war but for a peace keeping mission.  However, when I got there, our unit was activated for war.  We were ready for it... at least I was.  It was about time too.  Saddam pulled one of his tricks again and I want to go into Iraq and into Baghdad!  He pull his shit a couple of times before and I wasn't ready... but I was the last time around.  My activeness for war only lasted for about a month.  During that time, we trained as originally planned.  My time there was wonderful but I really wanted to go to war... that was what I was trianed to do.  I was 7 miles short of the Iraq/Kuwait border and man I wanted too...

Back to the show... Austin came out and entertained the troops as Santa Clause.  He went into the crawd and passed out t-shirts.  When he got back into the ring, Vince talked down to him and knocked him down.  He had to stunned the Vince since the opportunity was there.  He told the troops how much he appreciated them.  Did his salute and toasted them in his special Stone Cold way.  Later, he talked with both Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero and got them wilded up.  When the show was going to end, he came out stunned both the Big Show and John Cena, and closed the show with a few words.  Then he had to stun the Big Show one more time.  A wonderful Christmas show...

As a added note... in a selfish way, I wished they did that for me and everyone else that was in Kuwait when I was there.  After all, we were away from home and our families for Christmas.  We put our lives on the line and in same defence as the Armed Services are doing today...
