| On Aug. 12, 2004, I made another return to Cases Ladder. Kathy, a friend from Spadeslite, directed me to BuzzardzHaven. She's a member of the league. I trust her judgement and joined. It's still a small league and the only tournaments they can do is 1vs1. Which is fine. All I wanted to do is to play Spades... yet... I felt that I should make my own league... First thing I did when I got into the league was to add my new league to my Platinum Membership. Once I was set, I entered the tournaments on the same night. I won the first two tournaments and lost in the third. This was a great way to make my return to Cases Ladder. Of course, a victory in all three tournaments would of been better but, I'm happy with my results. No Spades rust and I can still kicked ass!!! Kathy told me that there no drama in BuzzardzHevan, guess what, I found it. Two members acted childishly in the lobby. They caused to much trouble for the league. I tried to help out because, I wanted to know what was going on. It was a misunderstanding somewhere. Both members were banned from the league and one of the was a TD. Oh well... wasn't my place to butt in. Yet, I made a friend out of the ex-TD. After that night, I didn't play in any tournament or league game. I had time to play and I wanted to play. It was due to the fact that there was no tournaments made nor did any TD tried to get players. I offered my assistance as TD. I know what to do and I wanted to host again. I told the head admin, and other, about my spades history. I don't care if it's the right thing or not. Everyone has a history, I just don't hide mine. Oh well... their loss, not mine. I just want to play!!! I went to BOL League and left a message on Aug. 15, 2005. I stated that I was looking for a Spades home. I wanted to get back in the BOLs and to play in the monthly Best of the Best. I was also able to host tournaments for any league who wants me. Like I stated before, I want to play! I waited a couple of days before looking around again. Once again, I was getting the feeling of run my own league. I want my own league but I know I can't do it alone. I asked a couple of friends of mine. They all declined me. Oh well... Maybe there's still hope... On Aug. 23, 2005, I posted a follow-up to my "Looking for a Spades Home" message. I'm not looking anymore. I found a great league to play in. It's fairly new but it has potential growth. I've been playing in and hosting tournaments since day one! What's funny, a couple of days after I posted my follow-up, I was approached by someone from another new league. He was wondering where did I find a home. Then he asked me to join his league. I declined the offer, I'm in a great league and I'm working on a few goals. Continue on to my New Begining!!! |
